Ostomy bags have come a long way in the last 30 years, so it got me thinking about what ostomy products might be like in 2050.

Change stoma opening to a flexi opening to accommodate irregular stoma shapes/size - for myself I could go down a size (oval)but the flexi opening would adjust to fit the wider part of the stoma. Tom Eakin…
An ileostoma bag with a filter that works 24 hours (now it is maximum 5 hours)
I would agree with that - I use Sensura Mio ileostomy bag and I find I have to change bag every 3rd morning / the Eakin bag i wore for 5/6 days and it didn't have any filter but the bag never became "bad" to wear. I am very conscious that these bags must be relatively expensive and I'd like to wear them for longer but I can't.
